Valentines

My little girl was sick awhile back so it was a sit and do nothing day….that is until I came up with this EASY decoration. I knew I wanted to do something cute (and inexpensive) for Valentines with these glass jars but I didn’t know what. I started to think of coloring salt or sugar but was afraid of the mess they would be, then I wondered if I could color rice? Thanks to Google I found out that YES you can and it’s super easy! Simply mix the rice and some food coloring with rubbing alcohol to help the liquid evaporate. I spread it out on a cookie sheet for awhile and kept stirring it until it was dry. Do not use water with the food coloring it doesn’t dry. If your color is too dark just add more alcohol. I need to try again for a picture of the whole mantel, the lighting just wasn’t right when I took these pictures….and now my camera is loaned out for the weekend.

The glass jars are made from candle holders and glass vases from the dollar store.

Hello all, I've been a bad blogger lately, okay for a LONG time. There are many reasons but lets not get into most of them.

My last post was a little pathetic, not picture wise but word wise, I did it quickly from my phone. I made that card for my sweet niece Maddi. She is a beautiful 13 year old girl who was in a horrible car accident on Black Friday. I had just been out shopping with her and her mom, her sister, my sisters, cousins, friends that very morning. The accident left her with severe brain trauma. She has been in the hospital for over 39 days, the first of which were spent in a medical induced coma. And she will be there for many more days in the hospital. She is doing amazingly well however, she is now up and walking! She still has a very long way to go. She is starting to want to try her voice out and it will just be time until she is able to talk again, but I have Faith that she will.

So I'm asking all you out there in blog land if you can spread the word about our little Maddi. I know her family feels everyone's prayers daily. You can follow her progress here http://maddisized.blogspot.com/. Every little prayer helps.

Her dad just added ads to her blog, I'm not sure how much they will help but I've been clicking on them like a mad woman :) I figure being home all day there isn't much else I can do to help them but that is one thing I can do. I look forward to reading the blog update every night. Starting at around 7ish I start checking it, I’ve been a bit compulsive about it.

I have done a lot of crafty things lately, now let’s just see if I can organize my home enough that I find the time or should I say MAKE the time to post about them.

This was a weekend we took to the lake with some good friends. We went in mid September and thought it would be soooo cold but it was wonderful and warm! Maybe that’s why this spring has been so cold….

I made these cards with a 4x4 base for each card and then I used 5 sheets from my Basic Grey’s 6x6 “Off Beat” paper pad to make ALL the cards. I still had scraps leftover, I was so surprised how much use I got out of these 5 little papers.

(The first one is my favorite by far! although the next one is close….) hope you enjoy!

okay this last one I didn’t use the Off Beat paper, but I made it at the same time so I just added it with the others!

I think this is one of my favorite cards I’ve ever made, I got the inspiration from Kristina Werner (a very long time ago….) I need to make another one because this one has been given away. It was nice to have a card in my stash ready when I needed it!

I’m going through my pictures on my computer today and realized I HAVE taken pictures of things lately I’ve just never posted any of them, so I HOPE to have some set up to post in the next few days.

I was going to take a picture of my entry way and what I’ve done there recently but it SNOWED today so I have no sunlight, and if you’ve ever been to my house you know I have NO sunlight in my entryway on a normal day…..I hope to post pics of it soon.

Skirt from slacks (tutorial)

These used to be one of my favorite pair of slacks on my hubby. When the seems around the waist and pockets started fraying I was sad until….. I saw a cute skirt in my head!!!!!

I have to add that my mom asked where I got the skirt. When I told her she had a look of astonishment as she looked the skirt up and down! I had already told her about making it just the day before but she didn’t realize that it was the one I was wearing. It was the best compliment I could have gotten!!!

I’ve tried to write down how I did it, if you have any questions feel free to ask!!!

use your seem ripper to undo the outside side seems of each leg. (I did the outside of the legs because those seems were fraying a bit, and I wanted to use the inside seem as part of the skirt) Also undo the hem seam.
Measure how long you need your skirt to be and add about 4 inches to that number (mine was 25 inches). I measured 25 inches from the old hem seem (the bottom of the pants will become the top of the skirt) and put tick marks all along the pants and then cut it off. Now you have 2 panels that each have a front piece and back piece already sewn together. The back of the pants were naturally a little bit larger which works out perfect for the back of the skirt to fit over your bum =).
Next I sewed them all together to make the tube of the skirt. You can easily tell the back because it is slightly larger, at this point I marked the back middle seem just so I wouldn’t have to keep figuring it out.
Now I pulled it on and literally pinned the side seems to what I was wearing where the side seems should be. I then pulled the front middle seem out in front of me and measured how much excess there was, mine had 2 inches excess in the front and 3 inches in the back. I put in the darts and absolutely HATED the way it hung so I took them and out and simply took in the front and back seems starting with 1 1/2 inches and gradually meeting up with the existing seem. Then I did the same on the right side starting with 1 inch. ( I did the left side when I did the zipper) ( See how the seem is bigger at the top? I didn’t cut off the excess because the edges were already surged to prevent fraying.)(Here you can see that is is just a flat front with out any pleats in it.)
Now I needed to make an opening for the zipper. I chose the left side of the skirt and unpicked about 6-7 inches for the zipper opening. Remember that that is still one of the original seems of the pants so we are not undoing any sewing that we have done so far. I simply followed the instructions on my zipper package, To this day Zippers still scare me, I don’t know why, they aren’t that scary once you get started. Just remember to take in any remaining inches that you need to (I forgot to do this and had to do my zipper twice)
Once your zipper is in use the remaining pieces of the pants and make a facing. I’m sorry I don’t have a picture of what my cut out piece looked like before I sewed it on, but you can see it in the picture above. Then simply sew the facing to your skirt, iron the seem and hand stitch the facing to the zipper. Do what ever top stitching you want or even simply stitch the facing to your seem allowance on the inside of you don’t want any top stitching at all ( I hope that made sense.)

Remember to finish off the edges of your facing piece. I always hate doing stay stitching (I don’t have a surger) but always regret it when I don’t. I think the hem and facing are the only places I had to do it on this project because all the other seems were still done from the slacks.

Next I hemmed it up and added top stitching to the front and back seem and to the hem and the top of the skirt.

Okay now if anyone is still reading this please tell me which shoes you lie best. You know how men are…. ;-)

My sister had a new little baby boy on Wednesday! So of course I needed to make a cute baby card! She didn’t know if it was a boy or a girl until he arrived so I whipped this card up and can’t wait to see the little man on Saturday!!! Although I’ve been informed that he needs bilirubin lights and I might not get to hold him =(. I was so hoping to snuggle and hog him since his cousin that was supposed to arrive next week is no longer coming.

I had already bought the cutest boy outfit for him (I just knew he was a boy) and when I made the card I realized that it matches his orange and blue striped outfit perfect!

Title…. What’s in a Title?

EVERYTHING!!!! But for the life of my I couldn’t think of anything good to write for a title. Alas I am no writer. I wish I was but that is not one of my talents and I am okay with it.

I finally finished my friend’s Birthday present. It’s very simple, just an altered note book and a cute paper box with a bottle of Prima’s inside it. I also gave her some scrapbook paper. She recently moved here from across the world where supplies were outrageous!!!! So she is still collecting all the “fun stuff". (Of course who isn’t still collecting it?)

I found the notebook and Dollar Tree it came in a 2 pack. I made the box from a template found at Hemidemisemiquave. I created a lid for it.

Yea I love it when I get time to play with the challenges out there in blogland! I also used some of my new Chatterbox that I won in a giveaway recently.

Have you ever had a card that was coming along just great….then somewhere in the middle you hated it….and then at the end you actually liked it again? This was just an interesting card in how it came together. I must say I’m glad it’s done and I’m glad I like it!

So nice to finally have something I can share with you! I have a lot of projects that I am working on but they are all in the “ing” department and now one has moved to the “ed” department!

Here it is!

I used this tutorial for using freezer paper as a stencil and went from there. I was in a rush and I used my heat embossing gun to dry the paint quickly and it worked awesome, I had this baby done in no time at all!!!!

Inside the bag is a little paper covered composition notebook and crayons. I had intended to include a little mini chalk board, chalk and eraser. Had them all done and then decided to have DH drill holes in it to add some ribbon…… should have left well enough alone! The drill split through the back, didn’t help that the bit wasn’t working well and so he pushed harder gurrrrrr. Oh well live and lean, but I had a lot of time in painting that thing today! My daughter was glad to inherit it even if it isn’t the cutest.

Here’s a peek at something I hope to finish Monday. Tomorrow we are headed to a birthday party (that’s where the bag comes in) and then to the zoo with extended family. It will be a nice fun day and HOT!

Now that I see the one on the left on here it is pretty just the way it is, but I hope to make it even prettier with spray paint. This is a first for me but I’ve been watching all of you out there!

I got sick after all.....

I had a post all written up but who knows where it went out there in cyber space? Well I got sick after all....Spent the Monday going to the Dr. for my little one to see about getting him to grow, he's 4 and only in the 50 percentile for a 2 1/2 year old! Then that night I got sick and didn't get better until Wed morning.

I did do a cut out of freezer paper to do an iron-on transfer for my sister, but since she finished it at home I don't have a picture of it =( Ihope to do a shirt for my daughter soon!

I started working on a hair bow (one I've never done!) today and will post pics tomorrow when I finish it up. I have quite a few projects that just need to be finished so hopefully I can do that, but I do need to do something fun with my little guy too, he comes first and he misses having the big kids home.

So hopefully you will see something fun from me soon!!!

Hope everyone out there in blog land is well, sounds like we weren't the only house hit with the sick bug!

I have sick people for most of the beginning of the week YUCK!!! I am almost done sterilizing the house in the aftermath. And now the kids are back in school so i hope to spend many great hours crafty in the weeks to come.

I’m just glad i didn’t get what everyone else had, but I really wanted to have something fun to post. I guess good things come to those who wait so just be patient and I hope to have something up soon!!!

I got my goodies in the mail from Holly over at Charmed Life and I hope to play with them soon..... but today I have 1 sick child and 1 very MESSY house. Our Staycation was AWESOME but when you stay at home for a vacation and have 7 extra people over one night go wave running the next day and then leave to sleep at their house as soon as you get home from the lake you have 1 BIG mess. But it's okay cuz we had so much fun.

I hope to create something new soon, school starts on Thursday but I have plans of shopping with 1 kid instead of 3!!! Maybe after the shopping I'll get to PLAY in my craft room.

This really made my night!!! because it's been one of "THOSE" nights!

I was trying to hurry and shower after our swim with the family because DH's sister and family would be arriving to spend the night. So I started filling the sink to soak my swimsuit (can you see where this is leading?) well....I got in the shower enjoyed the warm water since the pool was cool tonight and when I got out I heard water running...glanced at the sink...which was still ON!!!! and water was spilling down the front the counter was cover in water and oozing down into the bathtub next to it. We have a really big counter and the whole thing was covered in water!!!

Then as I was cleaning it up I bumped a frame and as I was catching it it bumped a statue and crashed into the tub! SERIOUSLY I thought? So I got that all cleaned up and then as I was simply closing the bathroom drawer the clock fell off the wall and broke, even the hands and the gears just came off. Needless to say I left the bathroom and don't ever plan on returning to it!!!!

So.....now I'm sooo excited to have something to look forward to!!!

Raspberry Suite Challenge #14

I never seem to get time to do these before they are over and this time I did it the same day it was posted, WAHOOOOOOO!!!!!

This was hard for me, I usually don’t like to mix pinks with reds or purple with reds but this is just a beautiful combination. And I even scrapped something without kids!!!! I NEVER do that. I’ve also never done a page with so much white space, I have to keep reminding myself that it is DONE and to stop messing with it.

The little mirrors at the bottom were actually blue but I just used a makeup sponge and some purple ink and they turned purple so perfectly you wouldn’t know they didn’t come that way.

I hope I find time to do more of these in the future.

Gift for Baby

Don’t babies just smell the best?!!! My friend just had her baby and I had to make something for her, she has 3 boys and just got a little girl so I knew she wouldn’t have many girly decorations. I wanted to do vinyl but I changed plans and am soooo pleased with how it turned out! I went to the D.I. yesterday and they had the perfect piece of wood that I used to turn into a wall decorations for her. here it is.

And of course she needed hair bows!!! So I snatched some that I already had made and the supplies for more as we left the house. It was a quick morning so these are not the best photos, the kids were literally waiting in the car to go to Grandma’s house as I took these pictures.

I also found 3 different shelves to repurpose while I was at the D.I. but those will have to wait until next week as we are having guests this weekend. I hope to have them done soon so stay tuned!

Please don’t judge me by these photos they are AWFUL!!! But when it’s all your model will give you that’s what you do, at least she smiled. These were taken awhile ago and I never posted them because of the horrible photos but oh well here goes.

This was my first sewing project in YEARS and it was so much fun! I saw this on someone’s blog and had to try it! Take an old dress shirt and turn it into a cute sun dress. How genius is that? There is one in Tim’s closet that I am eyeing for another dress someday, let’s hope our little sprout isn’t too big to make it into a dress by the time he’s willing to give it up!

My next project is turning a pair of hubby’s slacks into a something……. We’ll see how that turns out. i hope to work on it today, but honestly it’s not looking good :(

I am sooo happy with my new SCAL software (for use with a cricut) upgrade!!! I most likely could have made this with the old version but it was much EASIER with the new one, so if you haven’t checked it out you should!!!

I absolutely LOVE how it turned out! I figured if I don’t get a new house yet I can at least have a new wall in the bedroom!!

A little crafting

I finally got to craft a little awhile back, it’s just taken me forever to post the pictures!!! I got the idea from Kristina Werner, if you have never seen one of her videos you are truly missing out!!! I love them! She does a video every Friday and Monday.

One thing I did different from her was I cut out 4 pieces of pattern paper to the same size and then I cut the angles all at once, therefore making 4 cards just alternating the papers. If you want really good instructions on how to make this card watch Kristina’s video here, it’s really easy to make and very fun. I love how when I cut them all at once it made 4 cards and took hardly anymore extra time!

My scrap area is not the most glamorous room in our house, it's in the unfinished basement with plastic covered insulated walls! But......it's my space to use how I want to i TRY not to complain. I decided I needed to reorganize and for me that involves ripping almost everything out and starting over. so here are some pics that actually are kinda embarrassing but hey I love some good before and after pics so I thought you might like them too!

Okay so May is almost over and I've hardly posted a thing! Shame on me!

The Pink Stamper challenge page

Here is my first challenge from The Pink Stamper. I so loved doing all of these, I wish I could have done all 10 but time run out. This challenge was to do something brown and pastel. I know the flowers in the corner are a bit brighter, but the back ground is a nice pastel blue and I really love how this turned out. It was such a simple page and I kept trying to add more to it but it just didn't need anything else.

This challenge was to create something new that you have never done. I know it's lame but I had never made a baby card, so here is my first. Okay a I think I just lied =) as I typed that I just realized that I've made baby shower invitations. But I honestly didn't remember that until just now. Oh well, I really like how this one turned out. I used a mistake brown scallop from the last page I had made and a left over elephant from a different page and the scraps. So this was really fun to see how it all came together.

Here's my version of The Pink Stampers NSD challenge #5.

This challenge was a sketch page.

I took this opportunity to work some more on my littlest guys baby pages. These are fun to scrap now, but there was way to much going on back then to even think about doing them. Three weeks in the NICU and daily milk delivery trips with an hour drive time, and 2 very active toddlers! I remember people asking me if I spent all day at the hospital with my baby and I thought seriously he doesn't know when I'm gone and my other kids do. Don't get me wrong I would have loved to stay with him more but they are the ones that "needed" me.

These pictures are from the day we brought him home. He was so small in that car seat it didn't even seem safe enough for him. We didn't even have the bassinet ready for him yet, so the first night he slept in a laundry basket next to my bed. It was the only safe thing I could think of.

Wow it I sure have been a blog slacker!!! We had spring break this last week so we've been out playing with the kids. We had very warm 70's weather on Monday and then a foot of snow later in the week, pretty crazy for "spring break."

Just before we left for our mini vacation my vinyl order arrived and I couldn't even play with it until today. So here is what I've created.....

I'm doing another craft night with my church soon. This is a quote from our Prophet last October so I thought it was perfect to make for themselves or for a mother's day gift.

This one is bigger about 12x12 so I put it on the wall in the entry way. LOVE IT!!!!

My Happy Wall

I almost forgot to share with you all (if anyone is really out there) what I made for my bedroom wall. I used some left over vinyl I had from some old projects I made with my little cricut to make these. I haven't really used vinyl since those projects since I had the small cricut, now with the big one and hopefully a new house soon my brain is exploding with ideas!!!

The biggest one in this picture measures about 17 inches, if I had had more vinyl I would have made them all bigger, but this was a practice run and I will make a better one for the new house (keeping the fingers crossed.)

I've just loved these they make me happy just to see them every morning, okay maybe not on really grouchy days :) Do you all have those days too or is it just me?

on a side note here's a crazy story. So our littlest guy decided to grab onto the hand rail of the escalater at the mall today....well he is still really short and it started to carry him up and over to the top and he's feet started to come off the ground and he was about to go down, luckly my hubby and I got to him (each from opposite sides) just in time. It scared him pretty bad which is actually good if you ask me. I have to say my heart was racing for quite awhile afterwards too!!! As we went down I reallized he most likely wouldn't have been hurt too badly but still..... how can someone so short always manage to be so fast and get away from us?

Little Dollies

Have you ever seen such cute dolls? I absolutely love these little people, they are so fun to make too. I buy the patterns from Owlishly's Etsy shop, be careful if you don't want to buy anything then don't visit her shop!!! They are so adorable you just can't resist them I think I have about 7 patterns now :) don't tell DH.

My little niece had a birthday coming up and so I decided to whip one up, she was turning one and it would be perfect. I happened to be working on it at my other sister's house when her daughter (soon to be 10) asked what I was making, I had just told her when she blurted out "you can make one for my birthday!!!" Well how could I not with all that excitement. I now need to make a whole slew of them there are a lot of niece birthdays the end of March beginning of April. But I enjoy doing it.

I used the 2 Sketches 4 You sketch to make this card.

This card was so fun to make!!! I used my new Bo Bunny ruler to make the curvy line. I love that the blue paper matched my swirls cuttlebug folder so I used that to make the bottom circles have a bit more character. And who can live without pop-dots? The card was so plain until I added the dimension too it. When it was first coming together I was hating this card it just wasn't looking good at all, and then it just went great.

Kid Decor

I must say that I am usually the most boring mom when it comes to holiday decorations for my kids (except Christmas) It seems I always forget to get them out until just before Valentines or Easter and by then I think why bother. So this year I decide that I would make something with paper and laminate it. Plus I had just received my new Expression for my birthday and needed a reason to use it right? Now I could make cute holiday things that were BIG. I made a bunny representing each kid and put them on their bedroom doors and one for the hallway. Then I punched holes in the huge eggs and strung it along the banister (the ribbon isn't my fave, but I was trying to use what I had) WOW the kids were so excited!!! It was like Christmas to them, I am really going to try and be better at doing things like this in the future, and now you can help me be accountable.

Easter Egg wreath

I have been seeing these wreaths everywhere and loving them (but not the prices.) So I thought I would wait until after Easter and get one on sale. Well the other day I was at my favorite outlet craft store and they had bags of already speckled eggs (I had thought of painting my own) for $1.75 a dozen!!! I was thrilled! I bought 3 packs headed to the regular craft store bought a grape vine wreath and moss (which were both on sale!!!) I was determined to not shove it into the corner of my craft area and let it sit like I usually do. So when I came home I left if on the kitchen counter where I knew I would not forget about it. That in of itself was a miracle!!! It was very easy and fast, I think it took maybe 15 minutes. Why do I always think things will take so long and so I don't even start?
I was so in love with the results until I came home one day and noticed it just didn't have enough moss. The problem was how was I going to get more moss under and between the eggs? I was reading all my blogs and found this post with the solution. What you do is drizzle your glue gun in between the eggs and then use a skewer or pencil to shove the moss down inside. It worked so well and I added some more moss on the inside and outside too. I'm just in love with how it turned out. So thank you to all those people with wonderful ideas out there in blogger land!

Bunny Boxes AGAIN

Well it's been over 3 weeks since I last posted!!! I wish I could say a lot has happened....I guess it has but not a TON worthwhile to post.

Last night I had about 9 ladies over to make the little bunny boxes and it went GREAT!!! I found the perfect paper that was both boyish and girly for the boxes by Basic Grey, the ribbon is American Craft, I love their ribbon!!!!!

By some of the comments last night you would have thought I had invented the wheel or something over a little triangle box with a bunny head, truly I do not deserve that much credit. I just borrow some one's idea and tweak it is all! It was a really fun night and it's nice not to have all those piles of supplies taking up my craft space anymore that is for sure. Today I started a new project, with all that new found space I discovered, and I hope to post it soon :)

Little Bunny Boxes

So I was asked by my church to do a craft night and I wanted to do something that anyone could do. This is what I came up with. These little boxes are so easy to make you just score the paper in the middle of the long side and then measure the middle of the small side and score from the edge of the first score to the new mark. (did that make any sense?) you basically end up with your paper looking like 2 large triangles with 4 small ones in the corners. Anyway I think they will be easy for us to whip up and then fill with goodies for those up coming baskets!!!!

So I have a ton of blogs I love to follow ranging in cards to scrapbooks (anything with paper) to food blogs. Well.... I enter a contest on a food blog and WON. I am now the proud owner of the CUTEST apron EVER!!!!!! There is a picture of it on her blog and after looking at it I know you will be jealous! Check out her blog it has really great stuff, although I must admit I haven't tried any YET. and Yet is the key word. Another fun thing was I got to meet her because she only lives about a half hour away!! How ironic is that!

I hope to get creating this afternoon/evening but I can't make any promises :( my littlest guy is having surgery tomorrow so who knows when I'll get a chance after that!!!

Cuttlebug Be Inspired #20

I absolutely LOVED this sketch and I was worried I wouldn't get it done in time!! We spent the weekend packing and moving DH's sis and I barely got it done. I may have to make another card using this sketch it is just so amazing. I had envisioned something totally different and at first wasn't sure I even liked what I had created when I was done but.....it's growing on me. I did envision the butterfly but that's about it, oh the joys of creating it's always so fun to see the end result after the vision.

This is my take for Kwerner's Color challenge of the week. I have to say it didn't turn out as I had planned :( I had intended to do the brown on the bottom of the box but ended up cutting my Green part smaller, oh well that's what happens in a rush right? you end up with something totally unexpected. I do like how it ended up and maybe I'll make another the way I originally planned.
I didn't realize until after I was almost done making it but this pattern for the oragami box is actually from Kwerner's site. I thought it was pretty ironic.

If you'll look over to your right....(okay I guess up and to your right) you'll see what I've been playing with the past few days. Ribbons, felt, buttons...finally opening my Etsy shop "buttonsbowsandmore". That explains the lack of blogging or paper playing. I hope to make some cards or do a LO tomorrow, but we'll see what happens, my little guy is less content to play by himself these days so who knows what will happen.

On a fun note I got invited to go see Rascal Flatts on Thursday night in VIP seats!!!!!! WAHOO who can pass up that deal and the best part....FREE okay and that and it's with a good friend doesn't hurt either. I'm excited, I haven't been to a concert in YEARS so it should be pretty fun.

My latest obsession is making boxes. I have never made any before this week but I've been seeing so many cute ones on different blogs I had to try my hand at them. So please be kind when looking at them.

I decided to make one to hold all my tools. I found the inspiration for the tool box here. However I modified a template found here to make the actual boxes. From there I just couldn't stop making more! They are very fun and addicting to make. So... I decided to try my hand at designing my own template and made one up to hold all my Cuttlebug folders. Then of course I needed on to hold my mini folders. I will have to make one to hold my small tools as they will get lost in the bottom of the tall one, I think I will make it the same size at the mini Cuttlebug one.

Hubby had to go back into work tonight so I stayed up late finishing them off. And then I did some cleaning while there was no one tugging at my legs!!! The kids can sleep through the noise of cleaning up but Hubby wouldn't be able to sleep in very well with all the noise. So I guess in the morning I'll have to hang out downstairs....hmmm create more boxes!!!!

Well here they are....let me know what you think ;)

Here is a close up of the large Cuttlebug folders box. If I get enough requests for patterns for the next two I will write them up. I took notes!!! Not that anyone else would understand them yet :)

I made little dividers for this one to separate the different sets. I think the mini tabs are so cute!! I love anything mini though.

I can't decide if I should cover the other sides of this one or just call it good and leave it blue. What do you think?

Just some VERY simple and easy cards!
I had some stampin up card kits and stickers. Add to that a few studio G stamps and ink pads and I was DONE. oh and I added a few brads and primas to top it off.

I can't remember who the border stamp is by =( I recently got it at J's on clearance. I love it, i really need to remember to keep track of that kind of thing.

Well I'm off to bed FINALLY. My computer totally gave out on me earlier today. Luckily I'm married to a computer man and he saved everything!!! THANKS HON! so my advice is to remember to BACK-UP your stuff. I thought I lost all my pics from Thanksgiving to now. WHEW so glad I didn't. And the back up disc is sitting right over there freshly burned =)

CPS challenge with Cuttlebug challenge added

I mixed two card challenges together. I don't know if I'll still be eligible to win.... but it was fun.
The CPS challenge is the sketch that I used and then I added the Cuttlebug challenge by putting in embossed acetate. How fun was that to emboss!!! I highly recommend trying it, now I just wish I had saved all of my cuttlebug packages =(

oh well I guess I have 2 reasons to buy more.

I didn't have time to make these exactly how I wanted to with stitching aroung the bottom to hold the hearts together. My sewing machine is still not set up after organinzing my space. So...I took the easy way out and used a stpler. My kids certainly didn't care, they still had chocolate in them!!!

I LOVE cute containers. Isn't everything more fun that way? On the flip side I'm also very practical (some might say very cheap) So when I get my cute containers they of course have to be bargains!!!!

I'm sure many of you out there already have these cute jars from IKEA

Ever since I first saw these jars at our new IKEA I HAD to have them, but what for? Then one day after buying WAY too many buttons on sale (of course) at JoAnn's it hit me button jars!
These Cute little baskets are about 4 inches wide. I love them so much! I keep going back for more and at $0.50 each who can resist? I have the pleasure of living near the Provo Craft outlet store and I think I have bought a total of about 12 of these so far and I wouldn't mind a few more.
